Removal of 200kg pump arrangements from the sewerage pits was a major logistical issue on a site that didn’t have mobile cranes available. Planned maintenance could be coordinated, however unplanned blockages and failures meant immediate action was required to ensure the site system was operable.
Detech Engineering were engaged to design a suitable lifting system, operable by a single maintainer, to lift and transfer the pumps to and from the sewerage pits and maintenance vehicle. This option has significantly improved the response time of the maintenance team and reduced the potential for physical injury.
